Ravi Shankar moves up at Malaysian CMO Awards Discovery Edition

Ravi Shankar Mallavarapu is a versatile and innovative marketing professional with a diverse skill set that spans across branding, customer experience, data science, AI, growth, technology, and commercial.

He brings over 15 years of experience to his current role as Chief Marketing Officer of AirAsia MOVE, where he played a key role in rebranding the AirAsia Superapp into AirAsia MOVE.

Ravi has a proven track record of success for companies in the APAC region. Before taking the helm at AirAsia MOVE, he played a key role within the AirAsia airline group and CARSOME, where he contributed to strategic marketing initiatives.

As a leader, Ravi also played a pivotal role in transforming AirAsia’s traditional marketing team into a growth marketing team as the company first pivoted to a super App.

His ability to drive innovation, refresh brand identity, and execute large-scale campaigns contributed to the successful rebranding of AirAsia MOVE as the ultimate travel companion and go-to platform for affordable intra-ASEAN travel

AirAsia MOVE’s efforts were also acknowledged through prestigious industry accolades, including ‘Asia’s Best Travel Booking App’ by the World Travel Tech Awards in 2023 and 2024.

Ravi will be awarded at the Malaysian CMO Awards 2024 Discovery Edition on April 25 in a special Induction Ceremony at the exclusive Malaysian Petroleum Club, and joined by over 40 celebrated marketing leaders in Malaysia.
