Pos Malaysia Berhad, the national post and parcel service provider, officially launched a commemorative stamp collection yesterday celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Rubber Research in Malaysia, marking a century of excellence and innovation in the Malaysian rubber industry.
The year 2025 marks one hundred years since the establishment of the Rubber Research Institute in 1925, now known as the Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB).
Over the past century, the MRB has successfully transformed the rubber industry from a basic farming sector into a global industry, driving key innovations including Standard Malaysian Rubber (SMR), high-yielding clones, and products like Ekoprena and Pureprena.
Malaysia now leads globally in standard setting international ASTM and ISO standards, alongside a strong commitment to sustainability via the MSNR scheme.

In conjunction with the Celebration of 100 Years of Rubber Research in Malaysia, a special stamp signing session was held with the Director General of the Malaysian Rubber Board (LGM), Dato’ Dr Zairossani Mohd Nor, at the exhibition site, offering collectors and enthusiasts a unique opportunity to commemorate this historic milestone.
The commemorative stamp collection features a special rubber-effect print on the miniature sheet stamp paper, made from tactile oil which delivers a distinctive rubber-like texture, paying tribute to Malaysia’s pioneering role in rubber research and development.
The 100th Anniversary of Rubber Research in Malaysia collection is available as a folder set priced at RM45.60, which includes:
