FrieslandCampina, the global dairy giant, is undergoing a leadership transformation that signals both continuity and innovation.
As Ramjeet Kaur Virk ascends to a global leadership role at the company’s headquarters in the Netherlands, Veronika Winanti Wahyu Utami steps into her shoes as the new Managing Director of Dutch Lady Milk Industries Berhad, effective 15 April 2025.
This strategic transition highlights FrieslandCampina’s commitment to leveraging top-tier talent to drive marketing excellence and operational success.
Ramjeet: A Seasoned Marketing Maven Goes Global
After nearly three years at the helm of Dutch Lady Malaysia, Ramjeet Kaur Virk is set to take on the position of Global Director of Marketing and Innovations for FrieslandCampina’s Professional Business Group.
Her tenure in Malaysia was marked by significant milestones, including the completion and transition to Dutch Lady’s state-of-the-art IR4.0 manufacturing facility in Enstek, Negeri Sembilan.
This transformative project has positioned Dutch Lady at the forefront of efficiency and innovation in the region’s dairy sector.
With over 13 years of experience at FrieslandCampina, Virk has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s commercial strategy across multiple markets.
An alumna of the London School of Economics (LSE), she has built an impressive career spanning FMCG heavyweights like British American Tobacco Malaysia and Heineken Malaysia Berhad.
Now, she brings her wealth of expertise to FrieslandCampina’s global marketing operations, reinforcing the company’s strategic vision in an increasingly competitive international dairy market.
“Ramjeet’s appointment represents a strategic move for FrieslandCampina as the company continues to strengthen its global marketing capabilities,” says industry analyst Melissa Tan.
“Her extensive commercial background across diverse markets makes her well-positioned to drive FrieslandCampina’s global ambitions.”

Veronika Utami: A Visionary Leader for Dutch Lady Malaysia
Stepping into Virk’s role, Veronika Winanti Wahyu Utami brings a formidable track record in marketing and brand transformation.
Currently serving as the Marketing Director for Consumer Dairy and Specialised Nutrition at Frisian Flag Indonesia, Utami’s leadership has been instrumental in achieving two consecutive years of market share growth for the company.
Her strategic brand consolidation efforts have strengthened FrieslandCampina’s corporate identity and sustainability agenda in Indonesia, making her an ideal candidate to lead Dutch Lady into its next phase of growth.
With over two decades of experience in FMCG, including an illustrious career at Unilever where she held senior marketing positions, Utami has a deep understanding of consumer behaviour and brand positioning.
Her tenure as Fabric Cleaning Director for Southeast Asia and New Zealand, followed by a Board of Directors role at Unilever Indonesia, underscores her ability to drive large-scale business transformations.
Utami’s leadership at Dutch Lady Malaysia comes at a crucial time as the company adapts to changing consumer demands and market dynamics.
Reporting to FrieslandCampina Asia President Corine Tap, she will play a key role in aligning regional strategies with local market needs, ensuring Dutch Lady remains at the forefront of innovation and consumer engagement.
The simultaneous leadership shifts at FrieslandCampina and Dutch Lady reflect the company’s strategic emphasis on nurturing global talent.
As the dairy industry evolves with growing sustainability concerns and shifting consumer preferences, both Virk and Utami are poised to make a lasting impact.
Under Utami’s leadership, Dutch Lady Malaysia is expected to enhance its market leadership through innovation, sustainability, and consumer-driven strategies.
Meanwhile, Virk’s influence at the global level will further solidify FrieslandCampina’s reputation as a marketing powerhouse.
