Eugene Lee, the inaugural joint Malaysia CMO of the Year winner in 2018, has taken the next step in his sterling career.
He has joined CHAGEE as Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer APAC, based in Singapore, which is also their international office.
Eugene previously spent more than 15 years with McDonald’s and his last post was Chief Marketing Officer for their International Developmental Licensed (IDL) segment.
In that role, he oversaw all international regions outside of the US, including Latin America, Europe, Middle East, and Asia.
“After a meeting the founder, I’m excited to share that I have joined CHAGEE and partner closely with global leadership to accelerate the brand’s international expansion,” Eugene informed MARKETING Magazine last week.
Originating from China, CHAGEE positions itself as a purveyor of high-quality tea beverages, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation.
The brand is known for its signature cheese teas, fresh milk teas, and fruit-infused blends, made from carefully selected tea leaves and fresh ingredients.
With sleek, minimalist store designs and an emphasis on freshness, CHAGEE appeals to young, urban consumers seeking healthier drink alternatives.
“Tea is the most consumed beverage in the world (after water), but perception has lagged behind its counterparts such as coffee – which was the same way 20 years ago until some big brands turned coffee into the trendy drink it is today,” adds Eugene.
MARKETING is proud of his success and wish him well.
