Salawati Yusoff sparks inspiration at Malaysian CMO Awards Discovery Edition

With over 26 years in the automotive industry, Salawati Yusoff has been a key driving force behind Proton and PRO-NET’s transformative growth and brand innovation in the past decade.

As the current Chief Brand Officer for PRO-NET, she led the marketing transformation that placed Proton at the forefront of Malaysia’s electric vehicle revolution with the launch of the Proton e.MAS 7.

Anchored by the “Charging MY Future Forward” message, the campaign positioned Proton as a national icon of innovation and a symbol of Malaysia’s future in mobility. The e.MAS Tour served as the centrepiece of the campaign, covering 14 states, 33 towns, and over 4,020 km to engage drivers across Malaysia.

Prior to PRO-NET, Salawati’s career included 12 years with Perodua, a year with Motor Image, and extensive contributions at Proton spanning marketing, corporate communications, network planning, business development, and branding.

Salawati will be applauded at the Malaysian CMO Awards 2024 Discovery Edition on April 25 in a special Induction Ceremony at the exclusive Malaysian Petroleum Club, and joined by over 40 celebrated marketing leaders in Malaysia.
