KFC Malaysia brought the thrill of Johor Motorsports Racing (JMR) paddock directly to its outlet, making Malaysian motorsport more accessible to inspiring youth and reaffirming its long-standing partnership with JMR. This collaboration reflects KFC Malaysia’s enduring belief that nation building is powered by communities that thrive and young people who are encouraged to dream boldly.
The sixth-year collaboration was celebrated at KFC Edusphere in Cyberjaya on 3rd December 2025, where 200 university students from Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysia France Institute (UniKL MFI), TOC Automotive College, and City University were given a rare behind-the-scenes look at the dedication, precision, and innovation driving the JMR team. They experienced firsthand technology, teamwork, and hands-on expertise that fuel success on the course.
KFC Malaysia offered the students the opportunity to join an exclusive interactive session, Sembang Kereta 2025 Edition, with HH Tunku Abdul Rahman Al-Haj Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Panglima Johor, and HH Tunku Abu Bakar Al-Haj Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Putera Johor, who shared their personal journeys as JMR drivers. Their presence offered students invaluable insight into the discipline and passion behind competitive racing.

CEO and MD of QSR Brands, Nehchal Khanna said “We are especially proud to celebrate the achievements of our Johor princes, who have brought immense pride to Malaysia on the international stage.”
“HH Tunku Panglima Johor, Tunku Abdul Rahman Sultan Ibrahim, concluded the GT World Challenge Asia 2025 season as overall runner-up in the Pro-Am category, securing podium finishes with Johor Motorsport Racing’s Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R at the final round in Beijing. His Highness’ success reflects not only personal excellence but also Malaysia’s growing presence in global motorsports.”
Nehchal added “HH Tunku Putera Johor, Tunku Abu Bakar Sultan Ibrahim, also represented Johor Motorsport Racing in the 2025 season, competing alongside international drivers Alex Sims and Jordan Love in the team’s newly launched Corvette Z06 GT3.R.
His Highness’ participation underscores Malaysia’s commitment to standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the world’s best, and his dedication inspires young Malaysians to dream bigger and aim higher. As the JMR team race forward, they also carry with them the KFC brand, a symbol of Malaysian pride and resilience.”
Designed to celebrate the Malaysian racing scene, foster stronger connections between the racing community and the public, and to inspire the next generation, the students were given the opportunity to participate in an exclusive “Meet the Fans” session with Their Highnesses.

Nehchal highlighted what began as a shared vision has grown into a meaningful partnership that celebrates not only the excitement of motorsports, but also the values of education, empowerment and nation-building.
“At its heart, this collaboration is about people. It is about nurturing the next generation of Malaysians, future leaders who will carry our nation forward with courage, creativity, and sheer determination. Motorsports demand teamwork, a high level of determination and agility. Every race is a reminder that success is not achieved alone, but through preparation, focus and mental toughness to push beyond limits.
By bringing together the spirit of motorsports and the power of learning, we believe this partnership will equip young Malaysians with the skills, discipline and ambition to pursue their dreams and contribute to Malaysia’s progress across all arenas” he added.
Complementing this programme and as part of its commitment to championing Malaysian motorsport, KFC Malaysia also extended the racing excitement beyond local borders through its KFC JMR Win & Feel the Speed contests. These nationwide social media contests sent lucky Malaysian fans on all-expenses-paid, money-can’t-buy experiences to major international circuits, giving them unprecedented access to the world of professional racing.
In 2025, winners have been flown to various circuits such as the GT World Challenge Asia, Sepang in April, the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, Belgium in July and Suzuka 1000km, Japan in September. More than just spectators, winners enjoyed exclusive grid walks, rare entry into the JMR paddock and intimate meet-and-greet sessions with the JMR team including Johor Princes HH Tunku Abdul Rahman Al-Haj and HH Tunku Abu Bakar Al-Haj.

By simply sharing their most spirited cheer for their favourite JMR racer on KFC Malaysia’s social media platforms, fans earned the chance to be part of these once-in-a-lifetime motorsport moments.
KFC Malaysia, operated by QSR Brands, a subsidiary of Johor Corporation, made the collaboration a meaningful platform that contributed to youth development and elevated national and international visibility.
As engines cooled and conversations continued, the message resonated clearly. Track racing is at its best when it is shared, experienced up close; and today, KFC Malaysia ensured that spirit reached the next generation.
