Uday Desai, most recently Managing Director of Creative at dentsu Creative Malaysia, has officially exited the agency, with his final day at the network recorded as 31 December 2025.
Desai’s departure marks a notable leadership change at dentsu’s Malaysian creative arm as the network begins 2026 with strategic reshuffles and broader regional transitions across its network.
Desai joined dentsu Creative Malaysia in January 2025 with a remit to elevate the agency’s creative output and expand its integrated communications capabilities in the Malaysian market.
With more than two decades of experience across key Asia Pacific and Middle East markets, his background included senior roles at major global networks such as Hakuhodo First Bangkok, BBDO Thailand, Publicis One and Y&R, as well as a prior stint as Integrated Client Partner at dentsu Vietnam.
Desai’s departure comes as dentsu announces additional leadership developments across the region and reflects an evolving executive landscape for integrated agency networks responding to market pressures and creative demand.
It also follows dentsu’s expanded partnership mandates, including recent campaign and creative assignments in Malaysia, reflecting a broader agenda for growth despite shifts in its leadership bench.
