The Dragons Are Coming...

The Dragons, Asia’s elite marketing communications awards, is now open for entries, to celebrate creative, results-driven work at the highest level. This long running show is the only regional awards hosted in Malaysia.

“The Dragons were launched in 2000 to recognise marketing communications work that, at that time, was being executed brilliantly across Asia, but largely unnoticed in the west,” said Mike Da Silva, Director & Founder. “Fast forward to today, and with over 1,500 world class campaigns awarded Dragons of all colours, that original mission continues to be fulfilled.”

Last year‘s awards saw doubled participation, with a significant number of new agencies and brands across Asia striving to be recognised at the highest level. The competition was the most fiercely contested in the programme’s history, according to the international panel of judges.

“Once again, the Dragons of Asia delivered an exceptional showcase of creativity and strategic thinking. This year’s judging was the toughest yet, with campaigns pushing creative & executional boundaries across every discipline. It was both a privilege and an inspiration to be involved,” commented Simon Mahoney, President of Marketing Agencies Worldwide (London).

This year, the 14th Dragons of Malaysia and the 26th Dragons of Asia welcomes 2 new entry categories:

Best Use of Creative Excellence

Dragons will be awarded to marketing communication ideas that demonstrate outstanding originality and creative thinking across any medium or execution. This Category recognises the strength, purity and uniqueness of the idea itself – not the size of the campaign or the scale of the activation.

Important: As this Category celebrate creative thinking and originality, a Written Section PDF is not required. Entrants need only submit all creative material, fully captioned, on the Support Material PDF, together with a short description (up to 250 words). If your footage is on YouTube or Vimeo, include the URL link or links in the multi-media links section on the Entry Management Page.

Best Use of Artificial Intelligence

Dragons will be awarded to marketing communication campaigns that have effectively used Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance strategy, execution, targeting, optimisation or creative delivery, and have generated a measurable ROI for a brand.

Entries may include the use of Machine Learning models, Predictive Analytics, Audience Modelling, Dynamic Optimisation, AI-driven Media Planning, as well as Automated Content Creation and Generative AI for creative execution, or any AI-powered approach that played a significant role in the Campaign.

Call for Entry period: March 15 – May 15

The new Dragons entry site (https://dragonsofasia.org) opens on March 15th. An entry fee of AUD$200 covers entry to both Dragons of Malaysia and Dragons of Asia.
