Ballsy Appoints Becky Leng as MD, Expands Regional Leadership Bench

Creative consultancy ballsy is starting 2026 with a two-pronged expansion, appointing Becky Leng as its new managing director based in Singapore, while launching a Malaysia-based social content studio, Kaki Sosial.

Leng joins ballsy from NP Digital Singapore, where she led the agency’s operations. She was part of the business since its SearchGuru days, joining in 2015 as Singapore country head before going on to oversee Hong Kong and wider APAC operations. In October 2024, she was appointed managing director for Singapore, driving regional expansion and growth across Southeast Asia.

Her career also includes senior leadership roles on the client side, including head of interactive media at Maxis Malaysia, director of marketing and portal management at Singtel, and chief marketing officer of iProperty Group.

In her new role, Leng will focus on new business development, senior client relationships and bespoke media solutions, as ballsy expands its offering to include performance marketing alongside its creative-led work. Co-founder VJ Anand described Leng as a “daring client turned partner”, adding that her performance marketing experience complements the agency’s unconventional creative approach.

Alongside the appointment, ballsy has launched Kaki Sosial, a dedicated social content studio based in Malaysia. The studio is aimed at addressing a gap in how brands engage suburban and small-town audiences beyond the usual urban and Klang Valley-centric lens.

Operating within the ballsy group, Kaki Sosial will focus on locally rooted storytelling, cultural nuance and platform-native social formats. The studio has already secured its first retainer client and is open to both retainer-based and project work.

While Malaysia remains its primary focus, the studio will also support selected regional and global campaigns where localised execution makes creative and commercial sense. On the talent front, Kaki Sosial has hired around half a dozen creatives ahead of its official launch, including emerging content creators.

Founded in February 2025, ballsy has built a portfolio that includes Jetpac’s ‘Travel Virgin’ series, Astro Radio Malaysia’s “Kelas Perpaduan”, Taco Bell’s “Belum try, belum tau” campaign, and an AI-driven Merdeka Day project for Ryt Bank. With the launch of Kaki Sosial, the agency aims to scale its social-first capabilities and deepen its offering to existing and future clients.
