Received an invitation card to the “the official launch of Proton X70” recently? It’s fake!

Proton is now alerting consumers that have received an invitation card to the “the official launch of Proton X70” that is currently circulating social media.

“As much as we appreciate the effort put in by the person who produced the “e-invitation card” for reasons only he/she/them could understand, we wish to point out that the e-card has spelling error for “Execlusive” and we would certainly write “Grand Ballroom, KL Convention Centre” instead of just “Ballroom”.

Please note that PROTON has never issued such invitation e-card and urge customers and its social media followers to discard the fake invitation card and its content,” the statement read.

Proton also stated in the comments that they are not sure of the launch date for the Proton X70 with many of the netizens hoping Proton would speed up the launch date.

“At this juncture, Admin can’t comment anything as I have not been informed of any launch date. If there is indeed any similarity, then I would say it is a mere coincidence,” the comment read.

In October, Proton reappointed m/SIX as its media agency, following the final round of pitching.

In March, MARKETING posted that Proton is currently in a creative pitch which had more than ten agencies competing for it. , PROTON appointed essence Burson-Marsteller to manage social media duties for a year.

The news came after a pitch held in March and the incumbent was APD, which is still managing website duties for PROTON
