Long-time industry veteran, Lisa Hezila, is stepping down from her Group Managing Director post at VMLY&R. She plans to pursue her personal interests after spending a good 15 years at the top.
She will leave on end-March 2019 and is now in the midst of transitioning her responsibilities to Eric Ho; he took on the role of Managing Director on 1 January 2019.
Lisa, in a parting note, notes how VMLY&R has been a family to her; in fact, the 15 years with them has been a fantastic journey. “I am proud of what the team and I have achieved during this time; working to build the Malaysia office into the robust digital-first agency it is today. This is an exciting time for VMLY&R; in fact, I’m happy that I’ll be handing over the reins to a strong, passionate, and talented team,” she added.
“Lisa has been a bundle of energy, enthusiasm and optimism for us over the decades. She helped put
VMLY&R on the map and has been a trailblazer in the industry, having been part of many industry bodies. Of course, we will miss her! I do want to take this time to thank Lisa for putting her heart and soul into building this; [her continuous] success is going to be her legacy,” said Tripti Lochan, co-CEO of VMLY&R Asia.
As for Ho, he comes into the role from VMLY&R’s Regional Headquarters in Singapore. He brings to the Malaysia office, 10 years of experience from both agency and client side.
