Nando’s launches Hari Raya campaign – ‘Have you met the Boriaruddins?’

The holy month of Ramadan and the Hari Raya festival are important dates for Malaysia – a Muslim majority country.

To ensure Nando’s is always top of mind for gatherings and celebrations during the festive season, the restaurant chain collaborated with the team at Creative Juice Malaysia for the launch of ‘Have you met the Boriaruddins?’, an online content in line with the brand’s vision of bringing people together, celebrating inclusivity, humility, and embracing differences.

The cheeky ad tells a tale of Din Boriaruddin, a person who has a quirk for matching things together.

However, at his Raya open house, his colour coordination plans did not work out with his friends.

At first, he starts feeling annoyed but after 2 delicious pieces of Nando’s chicken, Din realises the importance was never style but the sense of togetherness.


“The Boriaruddins is a light-hearted jab at a common Hari Raya culture. It tells a warm story of Din and how he learns to accept differences.

The Boriaruddins had the quirky feel of symmetry and reflects the brand’s personality with its warmth with a dash of cheekiness,” said Elaine Chiew, Senior Marketing Manager, Nando’s Chickenland Malaysia.
