Edelman Malaysia walks away with 2 gold awards at the PR Awards
Edelman Malaysia walked away with the two Gold awards for excellence in PR in the fiercely fought categories of ‘Best Insights driven PR Campaign’ and ‘Best Direct to Consumer’ Campaign for its groundbreaking work on Shell Emotion Tracking Study at the PR Awards.
The award show now in its fifth year was recently held in Singapore. Judged by a battery of high powered regional executives from the world of Marketing, Brand, Corporate Comms and PR, this year had jury from the likes of HSBC, Mastercard, Malaysia Airlines, Petronas, Deustche Bank, Expedia Group, and InterContinental Hotels Group.
“We are proud to keep the Malaysian flag flying high at the regional stage. Winning in these two categories of Direct to Consumer, and Best Insights driven campaign, underscores the ever-growing role of ‘Earned Attention’ currency that Edelman brings forth to the new Marketing mix,” said Mazuin Zin, Managing Director Edelman Malaysia.
Edelman’s Shell Emotion Tracker Reigned Gold in the Best Insights driven PR Campaign ahead of AIA Singapore and Monster.com regional campaigns. Whilst it triumphed Asia Breweries (Heineken and Tiger brands) in the Best Direct to Consumer category.
This win comes on the back of Edelman Malaysia’s strategic transformation of evolving into a ‘Creative Solutions Company’ with PR at its core that it embarked upon in 2017.
The work was also recently applauded at the prestigious MobEx APAC 2018 awards in Singapore and Asia Pacific Communications Director Award in Hong Kong.

The APPIES is an annual event that presents a rare opportunity for creative, media, digital and marketing agencies or brands to present their best campaigns to the industry.
This is the only event where Live Presentations meets Live Judging.
Similar to TED Talks, The APPIES is the chance for great presenters with outstanding work to show it off to some of the industry’s most important industry leaders.
