Yusrizal Yusof has been promoted from Creative Group Head to Associate Creative Director at BBDO Malaysia.
Writer-based Yusrizal aka Yus, has an impressive repertoire of awards from Cannes Lions, D&AD, London International Awards, Spikes Asia, AdFest, and Kancil.
Prior to BBDO, Yus worked with Ogilvy & Mather Malaysia and Astana International.
With 12 years of industry experience, he has worked on accounts like Malaysia Airlines, TM, KFC, Nestlé, Chevrolet, DHL, CIMB, U Mobile and Fonterra.
Yus is a man of many talents.
Before joining advertising, he dabbled in music composition, published Malaysia’s first ever indie comic Urban Comics, and worked as a graphic novel writer for the Dewan Bahasa & Pustaka.
VJ Anand, Executive Creative Director of BBDO says: “Yus is the perfect embodiment of our vision of doing culturally relevant work. His diverse experience helps him bring strong local insights and ideas to the table. Just this year, his first fictional novel topped the local indie book sales chart. He also acted in several of our commercials and is writing songs for his first album. While most vernacular writers fall easily into the trap of just translating the work, Yus is a different breed.”
MARKETING Magazine is not responsible for the content of external sites.
After 20 years of evolving technology, shifting market trends, and adapting to changing consumer behaviour, the media landscape has nearly reached saturation.
We’ve optimised to the fullest, providing advertisers with abundant choices across technology, platforms, data-driven marketing, CTV, OTT, DOOH, influencer marketing, retail, etc.
Media specialists have diversified, but with more options comes the challenge of maintaining income growth. The industry is expanding, but revenue isn’t keeping pace.
Now, we’re at a TURNING POINT: time to explore and harness new sustainable revenue streams. While GroupM forecasts a 7.8% global ad revenue growth in 2024, challenges like antitrust regulation, AI and copyright issues, and platform bans persist.
Collaboration is key: partnerships that thrive on synergy, shared values, and aligned goals are becoming increasingly essential.
Hence, the Malaysian Media Conference, in its 20th year, has assembled the partners and players under one roof on October 25 for a day of learning, sharing, and exploring.
