Ogilvy & Mather Singapore appointed as e-Commerce partner for integrated destination resort Desaru Coast
Ogilvy & Mather Singapore has been appointed as the e-Commerce agency for Desaru Coast, an integrated destination resort developed by a subsidiary of Themed Attractions Resorts & Hotels (TAR&H) Sdn Bhd, Malaysia.
Ogilvy won following a competitive pitch.
Ogilvy will oversee the development of an integrated e-commerce platform that will strengthen Desaru Coast’s positioning as one of Malaysia’s most anticipated tourism developments.
“The platform will allow us to glean valuable customer insights through data analytics that will enable us to provide consumers with tailored travel recommendations,” said Chandra Barathi, Chief Technology Officer, Ogilvy & Mather Singapore.
“We’re looking forward to working with TAR&H to capture the imagination of tourists and to grow Desaru Coast’s share of the market,” added Chandra.

The platform will be launched in phases, will serve to enhance the customer experience with personalized recommendations and bespoke services for discerning travellers.
Ogilvy’s partnership with experience management software leader Sitecore will result in the delivery of a seamless and intuitive digital experience with the support of omni-channel and social media touch-points to help travellers research, plan and manage their trip more easily.
