Under the patronage of H.R.H Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, the Sultan of Selangor, the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As) has announced the third edition of the Putra Brand Awards; a brand valuation award measured by consumer preference.
"The Award has earnt a reputation for championing local brands and SMEs, based on the measureable deliverables determined by Malaysian consumers," Tony Savarimuthu, presidents of the 4As observed.
Datuk Johnny Mun, vice president of 4As and the organizing chairman of the award noted in concord, "The Putra Brand Awards serve as a yardstick in acknowledging top-tier brands across multiple categories."
Local brands are encouraged towards excellence and leading by example for others to follow to enhance their brand values. Last year the Awards introduced the category of 'Most Promising Brand of the Year', that was won by Munchy's.
A step towards consolidation and growth in turbulent economic times, the Awards are pitched as playing a vital role in recognizing the benchmarks set by successful local brands; a factor on which the country's economic maturity largely relies on.
Organized under the auspices of 4A, in association with Malaysia's Most Valuable Brands (MMVB), Branding Association of Malaysia (BAM), the Malaysian Advertisers Association (MAA), and the Media Specialists Association (MSA), Putra Brand Awards is the only one endorsed by MATRADE.
The Putra Brand Awards will be held on 24 April 2012 at the One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya.
