Malaysia took home 1 Grand Prix, 4 Gold Spikes, 8 Silver Spikes and 10 Bronze Spikes. A vast improvement from the previous year, where Malaysia only managed 1 Best in Show, 7 Silvers and 6 Bronze Spikes.
Both BBDO/Proximity and Saatchi & Saatchi continued their form in the award's scene, bringing home the majority of the wins. While Arc Worldwide, Leo Burnett, Ogilvy Malaysia, Creative Juice/SIL, McCann Erickson, Lowe & Partners and Naga DDB / Rapp helped raise the tally. However, big winner of the day when to BBDO/Promixity with 1 Grand Prix, 3 Golds, 1 Silver and 3 Bronze Spikes.
The Bushman & Eskimo, Husky & Camel and Mountain Goat & Crocodile campaign for Jeep by BBDO/Proximity came home with the Grand Prix in the Print Spikes. The campaign also picked up a Craft Print Gold. Other Gold winners included Saatchi & Saatchi's Silverfish Books campaign Affair, Candlestick & Psycho, and BBDO/Proximity's Mars campaign Green, Whose Child? and Black Sheep.
The 8 Silver Spikes came from Saatchi & Saatchi's Procter & Gamble campaign; Alley, Toilet & Park, Stop for Guinness Anchor and Naga DDB's Handwritten Newspaper for Stabilo in the Print Spikes. Naga DDB's Stabilo work also picked another Silver in Outdoor. Saatchi & Saatchi had another 2 Silver Spikes for Amnesty International; Ballpoint, Fountain Pen & Felt Tip, and Silverfish Books; Affair, Candlestick & Psycho. The final Silver when to Ogilvy Malaysia for Carrefour's Flasher Flood. BBDO/Proximity also picked up a Silver in Design for Two Worlds for Jeep.
