Mainardo de Nardis has been named CEO of OMD Worldwide, Daryl Simm, Chairman and CEO of Omnicom Media Group. In his new position, de Nardis, 47, will be based in New York and report to Simm. The appointment is effective first quarter of 2009.
Mainardo de Nardis has been named CEO of OMD Worldwide, Daryl Simm, Chairman and CEO of Omnicom Media Group. In his new position, de Nardis, 47, will be based in New York and report to Simm. The appointment is effective first quarter of 2009.

Over more than 20 years in the business, de Nardis has developed a highly successful track record in the media business. As the former CEO of the CIA media company when it merged with The Media Edge to become Mediaedge:cia, de Nardis established the combined companies as a single global media network. Most recently he was based in London where as the top executive of Aegis Media, he led the company through a period of strong international growth.

Commenting on the appointment, Simm said, “Mainardo is a true global media leader who brings a rare combination of international media expertise, client service understanding and operating skill. OMD’s recent global business success underscores how well Mainardo’s international credentials fit the emerging needs of our clients; he has the right skill set to build on OMD’s position as the world’s leading media service company.”
