Jamshed has over 18 years of experience in the ‘Information Technology’ industry which spans areas like Product Management, Retail Marketing, Sales Management, Digital Marketing and Social Media Strategy. In 1993, Terry was hired by Courts to spearhead its acceleration into the electrical retail market in Singapore, holding the posts of Buying Director from 1993 to 1997, Commercial Director from 1997 to 1998 and Deputy Managing Director from 1998 to 2000 before assuming the role of Managing Director in 2000. After the private equity-led buyout of Courts operations in Southeast Asia in 2007, Terry assumed the role of CEO for Courts in Asia and has since led a turnaround of its operations in Malaysia and entry into Indonesia. Terry is also a Senior Advisor to the Institute of Advertising, Singapore and is also the Regional Chair of the Southeast Asian chapter of the Young Presidents’Organisation (YPO), which is a not-forprofit, global network of young chief executives connected around the shared mission of becoming ‘Better Leaders through Education and Idea Exchange’. In 2013, he published a book on his personal and professional journey in retail titled ‘Why Not? The Story of a Retail Maverick and Courts’. Terry was conferred the award of Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) by Her Majesty The Queen of England in June 2010.

Before helming IPG Mediabrands Malaysia, Bala was CEO of Carat Malaysia. He has been in advertising since 1991, starting off as a Media Research Assistant, and worked across a select few agency groups since then. He joined Aegis Media with Carat in 2006, but was soon offered the opportunity to lead Aegis Media sister company Posterscope Malaysia, to become the top OOH specialist in the country. In 2012, he came back to Carat as CEO. Bala has been in the industry for 24 years and won numerous awards including the MSA and Aegis Media Awards.
Sulin oversees brand, media, digital, social and customer insight for Maxis. Before Maxis, she spent 15+ years poking around advertising, marketing, media and the internet: the first 10 years as a brand planner for Leo Burnett, DDB and BBDO, and then 4+ years as resident troublemaker at DiGi Telecommunications – overseeing different portfolios in brand, ecommerce, and customer experience. In 2013, she took a year off to bartend, write miserable fiction, volunteer for San Franciscobased Kiva.org and finally, to create Think Things (www. thinkthings.co), marketing and media ideation cards that “help any small budget client think like a big ad agency”. She joined Maxis 3 years ago from Ogilvy & Mather Malaysia, where she was MD for both the advertising and digital divisions. These days she still teaches and writes a little, although not nearly as much as she’d like to.
Moots had the opportunity of many dynamic roles throughout my 18-year career which included corporate regulation, government strategy, media and entertainment as the founding member and frontman of south east asian rock band Pop shuvit as well as a radio announcer/station manager with Hitz fm and mix fm. In his years working with the media and entertainment industry, he have conceptualized and executed creative content for all the brands that he have worked with on multiple platforms specifically focused on Digital. He also worked directly with brands in south east asia in his capacity as an influencer and ambassador. Before Inti he was Head of Marketing at Standard Chartered Bank for five years.
Kim joined Star Media Group this year as chief marketing officer, with the mission of kick-starting dimsum.my. She has 20 years of experience in marketing, including 12 years in running leading media platforms. She is part of the core team which started 8TV, Malaysia’s number one youth and Chinese TV station and also helped build tonton.com.my to become Malaysia’s number one video portal with over 4.4 million registered members. Kim has regional experience in the setting up of TV5 in the Philippines. She has also spoken at various international conferences on TV content and digital matters in Asia and globally like The Content Asia Summit (2011), The Asian Broadcasting Union (2013) and MIPCube in Cannes (2013). She was also on the judging panel of the Asian Television Awards for two consecutive years. She was an active sportswoman, having won a gold, two silver and two bronze medals in rhythmic gymnastics at the 1991 and 1989 SEA Games, respectively.
Kam Lin is a rare species in her industry. Having spent 20 years at Maxis, she now sits next to the leaders of Maybank in her role at Group Data Scientist. She specialises in applied data science and geo-marketing or also known as location based targeted sales and business intelligence. In her early days, she performed orbital calculation to maintain both Measat-1 and Measat 2 in geostaionary orbit. She knows more than she will tell you. She believes that with data we can make anything happen, but only if we imagine the possibilities first.
Rafiq, became CEO of Media Prima Digital last year. He who holds a Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours) in Actuarial Science from Pennsylvania State University and has comprehensive experience in business development and strategic planning. His career in IT began with Maxis where he held positions in International Data Wholesale and Corporate Strategy. In 2011, Rafiq was part of the team which formed Groupon Malaysia, an e-commerce player based in the US connecting customers with local merchants in more than 28 countries including Malaysia. He was promoted to Country GM for Malaysia two years later. In 2015, Rafiq and a group of investors established KFit, a Malaysian start-up company that provides a mobile app for users to plan their wellness activities like gym membership, fitness studios and related activities. KFit today boasts operations in eight countries across Asia Pacific.
Derek Tan has taken on the role of partner at Entropia. He is the latest IPG Malaysia member to join the team following the exit of Ramakrishnan C.N. (Rama) and Prashant Kumar. He took on the role earlier this month. He last led the social media practice for IPG Mediabrands as executive director – Social Media, World Markets, Asia under the umbrella of Rally and Springcreek. He was responsible for the overall P&L responsibilities and social media direction for the agency and its clients in World Markets, Asia. His duties ranged from regional strategic direction and vision, operational setups, activations, strategy, analytics, and practice rollouts for IPG Mediabrands across offices in Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan.
Michael is the Lead Producer in Reelity TV (RTV), Malaysia which started operations in November 201. He has shaped RTV to be a digital creative agency with a special focus on video but not forsaking the thought process required for strategy & amplification. The move to start an endeavor like RTV by approaching Nuffnang Co-Founder Timothy Tiah was a purposeful one. Clare joined Sime Darby Berhad in 2012. Currently Chief Marketing & Sales Officer and head of customer experience for the Property Division, she is driving the company’s customer-centricity and digital transformation. Over the course of a diverse career, she has worked for some of the world’s most successful brands including The Coca-Cola Company in Europe and Asia, and FIFA.
