(Marketingmagazine.com.my) – Fresh off their win of the the Prime Minister Award for Human Resources Excellence (Private Sector) and the 1Malaysia Employer Award (GLC) 2014, Malaysian telco provider; Celcom Axiata Berhad are pushing forward on their pledge to be the nation’s “most preferred employer” by beefing up their corporate and management talent pool.
“Celcom recognises how human capital and talent management play a vital role in ensuring that we remain on track to meet our objectives”, Dato’ Sri Shazalli Ramly, Chief Executive Officer of Celcom Axiata Berhad started to say.
“Hence, we have implemented a strategic talent management plan that promotes individual growth from within the organisation. This fosters innovation and competitiveness that will contribute to Celcom’s economic growth and reap significant rewards in the future as we will gain a competitive advantage in today’s marketplace”, he explained.
Celcom recently announced new key appointments made to their arsenal of talent as well as in-house movements.
Zuraida Dato’ Jamaluddin joins Celcom as the new Chief Corporate Officer (CCO) where she will oversee the corporate initiatives of the organisation as a whole. She previously working at Renoir Consulting (Malaysia) as their Managing Director.
Suresh Sidhu has moved up to CEO-Designate of edotco; a Celcom sister company, since the beginning of the month from his former post as Chief Corporate and Operations Officer of Celcom. His task is to establish edotco as a world-class infrastructure company for the region and will assume the CEO position at the end of August 2014.
Jefri Ahmad Tambi will now serve as Chief Corporate Communications & Government Liaison Officer – an essential position to spearhead the telco’s corporate communications initiatives. Jefri’s previous position held was Chief Business Solutions Officer.
