The winner of the Best of Best Creative or Golden Kancil, has been decided by a secret ballot with judges having their say and not knowing the result. This selection process will certainly get the rumour mill grinding, which will surely add drama to the big night ahead. It is believed there was no tie in the final result with the eventual winner emerging as a clear favourite.
This year's jury included Thirasak Tanapatanakul (Creative Juice/G1), Sonal Dabral (Bates 141 Asia), Pann Lim (Kinetic), Matty Burton (Droga 5), Alex Burnard (Crispin Porter + Bogusky) and Graham Kelly (ex TBWA\Tequila),
Adrian Miller (Saatchi & Saatchi), Rahul Matthews (Young & Rubicam), Mun Tuck Wai (BBDO/Proximity), Andy Soong (Publicis), Ted Lim (Naga DDB) and Lakshmi Mohan (DraftFCB).

This year also marks the 30th Anniversary of the Kancil Awards, a proprietary awards show of the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents (4As) Malaysia, and it celebrates creative excellence in Malaysian advertising.

Many events to commemorate this anniversary have been keeping the industry and the news media virtually occupied almost every other day with exciting speakers from all corners of the globe converging in Kuala Lumpur.
